All species of boa constrictors and pythons, a number of cobras and adders (vipers) as well as several other snakes are listed under CITES.
If you buy any souvenirs made from these species you must always have a CITES export permit from the country where you acquired them. If the species belongs to any of the species under severe threat then you must also have a CITES import permit from Sweden. Oh dear! Edin, the dad, has an export permit but lacks an import permit.
Many crocodiles are turned into bags, boots, belts, watch straps and other products. Since there are facilities where crocodiles are bred in captivity there are specific exceptions whereby you can import individual worked objects of certain alligator, cayman and crocodile species.
